A vision born of Resilience and Dedication
Our Journey
The idea of supporting women grew out of the personal experiences of the FER president, facing the significant challenges of her life.
2002
Widowed at only 27 years old, with two young daughters to raise, she was confronted with rejection, criticism and prejudices from her community. Despite these obstacles, her resilience and determination allowed her to offer her daughters an education and a promising future.
2007
This experience pushed her, in Benin, to provide emotional and financial support to women in her community facing the loss of a spouse. Her commitment has revived the hope of many widows and their children, helping them rebuild their lives.
30 women
2016
Settled in Canada for nearly 10 years, she has faced the challenges of immigration, while observing the urgent needs of women in this new context. With this journey marked by courage and perseverance, she founded FER, an organization dedicated to defending women’s rights and their development.
2024
Today, FER embodies this desire to be a pillar of support and a source of inspiration for all women, regardless of their origins or the challenges they face.
